Our trip to the Galapagos involved daily expeditions where we explored the Islands. We carried out our daily expeditions in groups of 12 with one naturalist-guide, Walter. Our ship, the M/V Santa Cruz, arranged the groupings and naturalist - guide assignments on the first day we boarded the ship. Each grouping was given a name, our group was known as the “Iguanas”, perfectly named considering the number of iguanas we encountered! Our naturalist-guide, Walter, guided us on our daily expeditions through the terrain, and explained every detail of each island we explored. Each night, our ship sailed the Pacific ocean to the islands we would explore during our daily expeditions of the Galapagos.
