The Nazca Booby is a common resident of the Galapagos. It has a population ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 pairs. This bird breeds throughout the year, with colonies on different islands nesting at different times.
Both sexes are alike, although females are slightly larger with a duller bill. The Nazca Booby is the only black and white booby with an orange-yellow bill. They usually feed far away from land.
