Marine blue carpet, father remodeling bathroom while watching, talking, warmth among dust debris tiles and caulking....sea green tiles to a plastic shower.

Greasy pipes, pipe fittings for water not electrical... strewn around on table tops. Angles and elbows to fit around and in tight spots. A grime that leaves hands black and greasy... not a "dirty" grime but one that is ever present when working with these materials. Coats all surfaces, so thick you can carve your name with a fingernail.

A need to turn things around perhaps to re-imagine them as I did when a child. Space as if remembered, fragmented and strange. Disjointed frozen beautiful ...questionably... undoubtedly...other than it seems.
