Nobel Laureate, Dr. Harold Varmus, to speak at NYU on February 9th!

How can you use scientific study to tackle cross-border, global health challenges? What does it take to implement research across disciplinary, geopolitical and cultural borders to enact meaningful change around the world?

On Thursday, February 9th the NYU Leadership Initiative in collaboration with the NYU Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is proud to host Nobel Laureate Dr. Harold Varmus (’89, Medicine), who will present a talk entitled, “Bringing Cancer Research to the Developing World.” Dr. Varmus has transitioned his distinguished scientific background into leadership roles in global health policy.
