Nia, a Swahili word meaning purpose, is the Center for Multicultural Education & Programs’ annual award ceremony and is a long-standing NYU tradition.

The Nia Awards are an opportunity to recognize the achievements of members of the NYU community for promotion of diversity and social justice in their work for NYU and New York City communities.

Nominate students, faculty, staff, and alumni for a Nia Award.
