PURPOSE:  Interns sought for the preparation and planning of the 9th Youth Assembly at the United Nations. Focus: Youth Leadership and the Success of the MDGs.  Tentative dates 3-5 August 2011.
WHERE:  Preparation takes place at the Greenwich, Connecticut offices of Friendship Ambassadors Foundation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assist in all phases: MDG/Youth Program Development, Overall Project Management, Coordination, Media and Diplomatic outreach and contact, Hospitality and Tourism for nearly 700 international guests in projects in and around UN Headquarters in New York.
START TIME:   Summer-Length Internship.  Interns are requested to work in the office for a minimum of 20 hours per week from mid-May through mid-August.
QUALIFICATIONS: Students interested in: Event Management, Hospitality, UN Relations, International Studies.  Reliable, neat and well spoken, proficiency in one of the above mentioned areas of interest, with positive team spirit, reference and proof of current university status, more than one language preferred.
