Join the faculty and students of NYU Steinhardt’s Department of Occupational Therapy at this year’s American Occupational Therapists Association (AOTA) Conference and Expo in Baltimore.
Several of the Department of OT’s faculty members will be participating throughout the conference, including Assistant Professor Tracy Chippendale who will be presenting a poster on the ‘Factors associated with depressive symptoms among elders in senior residences’ on Thursday (PO 1088 9:30-11:30 AM). She will also present another poster on the ‘Resources and strategies for fall prevention’, on Friday (RWP 4085 12:30-2:30 PM).
Associate Professor and Department Chair Kristie Patten Koenig will be co-presenting a talk on the power of self advocacy while ‘Shifting to a Strength Based Practice for Adults with Autism’ with Paul Kotler, a self-advocate and Lisa Parker, OTR/L on Thursday April 3rd (SC 109 8:00-9:30 AM).
Clinical Associate Professor Anita Perr will be conducting a session on a ‘Model of wheelchair user’s participation in community-based discretionary activities’ on Friday afternoon (RP 225 2:00-3:00 PM).
Renee Ortega, the Department’s Clinical Placement Administrator, will also be co-presenting during the ‘(AOTA) OTA Forum: Report of Findings of OTA Education Ad Hoc Committee on Entry Level Degree’ on Friday April 4th (SC 201 8:00-9:30 PM).
