On August 27th, NYU Steinhardt welcomed more than 200 freshman and transfer students to Washington Square as part of NYU’s Welcome Week program. Steinhardt’s Class of 2016 hails from California, Texas, Oregon, Hawaii, Florida, and Illinois, and sixteen countries, including Korea, Great Britain, Sweden, Australia, China, Russia, and India.
As part of their orientation to campus life, students take part in all-University Welcome Week events as varied as Bed, Bath, and Beyond After Dark, the Presidential Welcome, and Reality Show. Steinhardt’s new graduate students also take part in a special program of orientation events.
