In January representatives from NYU Steinhardt and the Institute of Education (IOE), London University, took part in a signing ceremony to formalize their long-standing relationship. The Memorandum of Understanding signals the beginning of Steinhardt’s partnership with the IOE for the exchange of students, graduate-level transfer credit, and research collaborations.
Steinhardt’s Department of Teaching and Learning has recently developed partnerships with East China Normal University on the teaching Chinese as a foreign language; with NYU-Paris on teaching French as a foreign language; and is creating a new joint degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language with NYU-Madrid and NYU’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
Graduate-level partnerships allow for the best training of teachers for the international and multicultural classrooms of New York and other cities in the United States and abroad.
