Philip Furmanski has been executive vice president of student affairs at Rutgers University since 2003. Prior joinging Rutgers, he was on the faculty of NYU, where he served as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science and chair of the Department of Biology. He has a Phd in Microbiology and has held research positions at Temple University School of Medicine, Dartmouth Medical School, and Michigan Cancer Center.
