Paulina Toro Isaza

Paulina Toro Isaza is a Research Analyst (I) at the Research Alliance for New York City Schools. Paulina contributes statistical analyses to the Research Alliance’s evaluations of Design2Learn and NYC's Computer Science for All Initiative. She also helps maintain and secure the Research Alliance’s archive of data about New York City schools.

While an undergraduate student, Paulina participated in research including a simulation of a public bicycle system in NYC; a study that helped calibrate telescope software to view over 13,000 galaxies; and a quantitative analysis of local and central government capacity in Colombia. She also received a Mellon-Mays Undergraduate fellowship to conduct independent research on avatar choices in video games. She has also been a tutor for high school students preparing for the NY State math Regents exam as well as for first-generation college students studying math, statistics, and writing.

Paulina holds a B.A. from Hunter College in statistics and sociology with a minor in computer science.
