Research in Physical Therapy PhD Program

Course Outline

To complete the program, students must take courses in the following areas:

  • Foundations of Education (6 credits)
  • Specialized Research Methodology (3 credits)
  • Cognate Course Work (6 credits)
  • Departmental Seminar (3 credits)
  • Dissertation Proposal Seminar (3 credits)
  • Research Electives (15 credits)
  • Courses in the Area of Specialization including Analysis of Human Motion, Measurement of Human Motion, and Practicum in Pathokinesiology Research (18 credits)
Total Credits: 54

Students must also take a qualifying examination after one year of full-time study, a candidacy examination, and complete a dissertation project.
