Shingpui Betty Chow PT, MA
Betty Chow is a physical therapist graduate of Hunter College and an MA graduate in Pathokinesiology from our Physical Therapy Program at NYU. She is currently enrolled in our Physical Therapy PhD program. She is an ABPTS Certified Orthopedic Specialist practicing at the Hospital for Special Surgery and specializes in the management of patients and clients with musculoskeletal problems. Betty has taught in several physical therapy programs in the metropolitan area and has been an Adjunct Clinical Instructor and Master Clinician with NYU's Physical Therapy Department since 1996. Her research activities have been in the areas of osteoporosis/osteopenia, spinal posture, and functional recovery following hip fracture. Betty has made over 20 presentations including those at the Hospital for Special Surgery, the New York Physical Therapy Association, the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Society for Bone Mineral Research, and the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals. Betty has taken over 50 continuing professional education courses throughout her practice lifetime. She has served as a student mentor and coordinated in-service education programs. Betty was the Honor Marshall for the NYU master's degree class of 2001.
