Carol R. Davis PT

Carol Davis, a graduate of New York University, has been a practicing clinician for twenty years. Between 1985 and 1997, she worked to coordinate clinical affiliations with different universities. In the mid 1990's, she was leader of an interdisciplinary team focused on expediting timely discharge of inpatients and participated in a presentation to JCAHO on the team's goals and outcomes. Carol co-authored an article entitled "Group Programs in Physical Therapy" that appeared in Clinical Management in Physical Therapy in 1988.

Since the mid 1970's, she have been a martial artist, and it was an injury from that art that brought her eventually into the practice physical therapy. For the past four years, she has lecture on the health benefits of Tai Chi to our physical therapy students. For the past year and a half, Carol has also been lecturing at least monthly to martial artists at her school about human anatomy in an effort to increase their knowledge base and to prevent injuries.
