Vocal Performance

What I do to de-stress:
The NYU tae kwon do team is the place to be. I get to kick and hang out with some great people.
My favorite course at NYU:
I have a new favorite every semester, but I think this semester it's sign language. it's really interesting to gain insight into deaf culture.
Community service activity I'm most proud of:
I love singing and playing piano at nursing homes.
After I graduate, I:
plan to hit the ground running auditioning so I can pursue a career in musical theatre.
Why I chose this program at NYU Steinhardt:
I chose this program because I thought it would allow me to continue to grow as a musician while also teaching me new things about singing and acting.
My inspiration:
My mom. She helps me get through everything and has always believed in me.
My favorite place to study around NYU:
I prefer my apartment, but if i'm on campus, either Bobst or Starbucks
If I took a year off from my current life, I would:
Travel the world and take in everything that every place has to offer.
Prized possession:
I don't know that I have one prized possession. I certainly have little treasures though, like my piano, my copy of Ella Enchanted and all of my music books.
The professor who influenced me the most:
If I said one teacher influenced me over all of the others, then I'd be cutting all of the other ones short. My voice teacher and all of my acting and song analysis teachers have helped me grow immensely as a performer and a person since I've come to NYU.

Community Service and Other Activities:
In high school I was a member of our community service group: Children of Mary. My friends and I used to go to Camilla Hall (the nursing home for retired IHM sisters) and sing for them. Here at NYU I have gone to a church to pack meals for Thanksgiving, and sung for the elderly in a nursing home.
