Background Information

Where you grew up:
Scotch Plains, New Jersey
Honors, Awards, and Achievements:
I am a championship Irish dancer. In high school, I won an award for a journalism piece and was part of an award-winning high school newspaper and community access news show. The biggest honor I have received recently was being selected from over 200 applicants to write for Collegefashion.net, a fashion blog that was recently named one of the "Top 50 Fashion Blogs."
Community Service and Other Activities:
I volunteered in high school with the local children's Specialized Hospital teaching outpatient children how to swim for three years. Since coming to NYU, I have volunteered with New York Cares, which has allowed me to pick and choose volunteering activities around my busy class schedule. My favorite activities in NY Cares have been those reading to children and taking them out to plays and other fun activities. In London, I am working to organize a "Strawberry Tea" event with the Breast Cancer Care organization.
