Max Razdow
Studio Art (MFA)

Why I chose this graduate program:
This is an incredibly close knit and dynamic program taught by accomplished practicing artists and intellectuals in the heart of the contemporary art world. It was less a choice than a calling.
Why I went back to graduate school:
Art making is an intrinsic part of my life, but I felt I was lacking in language and perspective - it's really tough to make great art in a vacuum, and I feel I'm finding my community and voice here.
The professor who influenced me the most:
Gordon Terry and Jesse Bransford.
My secret (academic) passion:
In the summer I paint New England coastal landscapes and portraits of my cats.
After I graduate, I: I want to stay in New York, teach, make tons of art and stay close to all the amazing folks I've met here.
