Why I chose this graduate program:
I feel international collaboration, especially in education is essential to the successful development and peaceful interaction of all countries
My inspiration:
classical Chinese watercolor painters, because they are able to distill a theme down to the essentials
Something I collect:

Why I went back to graduate school:
I wanted to keep learning in a challenging environment and I wanted to focus my career in a different direction
The best gift I've ever received:
a poem sewed onto a pillow
My biggest challenge:
transplanting myself from Texas to New York
The professor who influenced me the most:
my German professor in undergraduate who encouraged me to study abroad
How I take my coffee:
with cream
Most adventurous thing I've ever done:
gone spelunking in Budapest
My secret (academic) passion:
to be a nerdy statistician
What I do to de-stress:
