Graduate Student Spotlights

Eugene Song

Music Business

Why I chose this graduate program:
Location, location, location. ...And I didn't have to take the GRE.
When I hear the word "genius," I think of:
Mozart, Stevie Wonder, and Wile E. Coyote.
A nightmare I've had about school:
My dog ate my iPod, a subway rat ate my Long Term Plan, and I ate my colloquy.
Why I went back to graduate school:
To diversify my experiences, to meet new people, and to learn the meaning of the word "colloquy."
The best job I've ever had:
Bartending at a Korean restaurant (I got great free food).
A hobby I have nobody knows about:
Stealing music. Just kidding... I don't have to steal music now that I know people that work at record labels.
The professor who influenced me the most:
Professor McGonagall.
My favorite place to study around NYU:
Does Brooklyn count as "around NYU"?
Community service I am most proud of:
My work with high-risk populations of children.
My secret (academic) passion:
Biology/Physiology. And underwater basket-weaving.
If I could take a year off, I would:
Write music and travel.
I would like to be remembered for:
My music.
After I graduate, I:
Plan to take over the world.
