Briefly tell us why you chose your program:
I have always been interested in working with college students since my undergraduate days, and this desire was aided and reinforced during my professional career. The Higher Education program at NYU Steinhardt emphasizes classroom learning and actual field application, allowing one to gain knowledge and experience simultaneously, each enhancing the other. Also, being in NYC, it allowed me to return and be closer to my family.

To change careers, I was a Superintendent for a large Construction Company, and pursue my long term goal of working with college students
