Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Briefly tell us why you chose your program:
My experiences as an English Language Learner have led me to want to continue my studies in teaching English as a second language in graduate school. Right now in the Dominican Republic, the number of students studying English as a second language is increasing drastically, yet many of them struggle with limited English proficiency. With this dramatic increase in English language learners it is important for me to discover effective routines and practices so that I can better serve these students.
