Briefly tell us why you chose your program:
I really enjoyed my undergraduate experience at NYU's School of Nursing and decided to apply to the University's public health program at Steinhardt. I became interested in public health as a nursing student when I had the opportunity to intern with an organization called Pathways to Housing. This organization utilized professionals from all backgrounds in an attempt to help manage New York City's growing mentally ill/homeless population.
A book I would never sell:
too be honest the only books I'm reading lately are for school!
My inspiration is:
My family.
Something I collect:
old cook books.
Why I went to Graduate School:
to broaden my knowledge of public health and to open new windows of opportunity in my nursing career..
The best gift I've ever received:
hmmm...painting my boyfriend made for me.
The longest paper I've ever written:
10 nursing school you don't really write papers!
The professor who influenced me the most:
surprisingly one of my first classes in graduate school, my professor of Community Medical Care, who i thought had a completely different way of looking at things.
My favorite coffee:
toasted almond from dunkin donuts
If I could take a year off I would:
write a book.
