Briefly tell us why you chose your program:

NYU Steinhardt Program offers me amazing opportunities: a community of talented and smart musicians, collaborations with Tisch Film students, brand new state-of-the-art orchestral recording studio, leading industry professionals as my teachers, and immersion in New York City. I wake up every day enthusiastic and grateful that I am studying in such a creative environment.
My inspiration is:
The Beatles, Herbie Hancock, Bach, and Keith Jarrett are continual sources of inspiration. Of course, my mother and father, also.
If I could change the world, I would:
Clean up the oceans and stop rainforest degradation.

Why I went to Graduate School:
Because Graduate School is essential to my career and doing what I love

Not feeling like I have to be like other people

What I do to de-stress:
Go to Integral Yoga Institute on W 13th, Go for a walk through Greenwich Village, Eat at one of the awesome restaurants in my neighborhood--Gramercy/LES!! --

UWS, Manhattan, NY
What are your plans after you graduate?
Compose for films and documentaries, work collaboratively with film directors and producers, continue to write songs and perform jazz and world music, enter competitions, pursue a Phd, teach, share my passion for music.
Honors, Awards, and Achievements:
Columbia University thesis stipend recipient, graduated Magna Cum Laude, member of Honor Society; Guest Auditor, Weill Music Institute; performances in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington DC, IIE/Fulbright Scholarship 90th Gala Anniversary at Mandarin Hotel, NY.
