I am a second year doctoral student in the program. I earned my B.A in Psychology from the City College of New York, CUNY. My primary interests are in understand the immigrant experience in the United States. I am also interested in the role of religion in the lives of immigrants, and work primarily with Dr. Carola Suarez-Orozco. Presently, I am also involved with Dr. Selcuk Sirin and Dr. Suarez-Orozco on a mixed-methods project in the education system in New York City that aims to understand student engagement in public high schools.
