1997 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
The 1997 School of Culture, Education, and Human Development Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award was awarded to Mimsie Robinson, who received a master’s degree in science education from the School of Culture, Education, and Human Development in 1993. Mr. Robinson was honored as the 1997 New York State Teacher of the Year. Chosen from a group of 70 nominated teachers from throughout the state, he is the seventeenth recipient of this prestigious State Board of Regents award. Mr. Robinson teaches science at Unity High School in New York City.
