The New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development is a major grantee of the John A. Hartford Foundation, where Corinne H. Rieder has served as executive director and treasurer since January 1, 1998. Prior to that, she was corporate secretary of Columbia University and the University's director of federal relations. Before joining the University, she was executive vice president and dean of Bank Street College of Education.
Dr. Rieder has held various government positions at the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Health, Education and Welfare. She is currently vice chairman of the board of the New York Academy of Medicine and a board member of the American Federation for Aging Research, Grantmakers in Health, and the Foundation for Aging Research of the American Geriatrics Society.
She earned her AB from the University of California, Los Angeles and her EdM. and EdD from Harvard University.
