Project Abstract

GIFTED will provide professional development, on-going support, and leadership training to three cohorts of 10 to12 women educators through collaboration with the Ghanaian Ministry of Education the University of Education at Winneba, and Fundación Mujeres por África under project direction from Dr. Kristie Koenig. Teachers who are selected for this program will identify, develop, and implement a project that improves the quality of education in key areas of curriculum, integrated service delivery, and school leadership. A leadership curriculum will be delivered and outcome measures related to the specific school projects as well as pre and post Self and Peer Assessment of leadership skills will be conducted. The overarching goal of this project is to develop women leaders in the field of education.
