Information for International Students

It is a pleasure to greet you as you explore Post-Professional educational opportunities at NYU Steinhardt’s School of Culture, Education, and Human Development of Occupational Therapy. The Department, located in the Greenwich Village section of New York City, has a long history of occupational therapy education in one of the leading universities in the world.

We welcome OT applicants from across the globe. Our students and alumni represent over 15 countries (NYU’s international alumni represent over 160 countries). We pride ourselves in providing a culturally diverse, supportive and rigorous academic environment.

We invite you to explore the Department’s post-professional programs in occupational therapy leading to the MAOTD, and PhD degrees for certified occupational therapists.

These programs integrate the theoretical foundation of occupational therapy and the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for engaging in scholarly activity.

The combined resources of New York City, the University, and the department provide an outstanding learning environment for professional and personal growth, as well as unique opportunities for interdisciplinary contacts and shared educational experiences.
