Parents of New Students
Welcome and congratulations on your student's acceptance to The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. We are thrilled that s/he has decided to join our family at NYU Steinhardt. As parents of incoming students we realize that you have many questions. We invite parents of incoming freshmen to participate in Parents Orientation.
Parents Orientation reply forms will be available with Freshmen orientation registration in mid-May. Check this website in mid-May for more information/schedule of events. We look forward to seeing you this summer. One-Day session: Thursday, June 28 or Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
Parent Orientation will begin at 8:15am - 8:45am with check-in period at Founders Hall followed by a combined student/parent information fair, a Dean's Parent welcome, and information sessions with representatives from the Office Residential Life & Housing Services, Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services, Student Health Services, and the Office of Public Safety. Parent Orientation will conclude at 1:00pm.
Parents of transfer students are invited to attend the Information Fair and Dean's Welcome followed by a question & answer session offered at each Transfer Student Orientation.
Please note that there is no formal Parent Orientation during our August Orientation. Parents are invited to attend a question & answer session session on August 27th.
