Mission:

The name is symbolic for abused people to put the broken pieces of their lives together and create better lives for themselves.

Mosaic's main objectives include increased availability and accessibility to high quality, integrated services for survivors of abuse and domestic violence. Mosaic's services are conducted in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa and focus on:

  • Healing people by supporting them and empowering them to make their own decisions
  • Operating within a strict code of conduct with moral and humanitarian principles
  • Recognising the important role of faith in the healing process
  • Accepting all religious beliefs without bias
  • Restoring self-confidence, pride and self respect
  • Maintaining strong support systems within the organization and within communities

Internship Opportunities:

Multiple Opportunities for the right candidates to work in advocacy, program planning and monitoring, research and evaluation and developing materials.

Intern Qualifications:

Student must be currently enrolled in the Community Public Health program in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies & Public Health.

Dependent on project- TBD by program supervisor.
