2023 Take Your Children to Work Day

Posted

Take Your Children to Work Day is an annual tradition, organized by NYU Steinhardt’s Office of Human Resources, that allows children ages five to twelve to experience a day in the life at the School.

This year's event started with a group breakfast, followed by a tour of NYU Steinhardt’s Urban Farm Lab, where the children each took home a seed that will one day flourish into an edible, seasonal crop. Then, they enjoyed an art activity with Clinical Assistant Professor of Art Therapy Marygrace Berberian, creating decorated mirrors to help them feel more confident and courageous in their daily activities. Finally, they closed out the day with a Latin dance class with Dance Education master's students Katherine Jimenez and Sydney Ekanayake-Lin and a pizza lunch with parents and caregivers in Pless Hall.
