Professor Maria Hodermarska and Student Lynn Hodeib Lead Drama Therapy Group at Project Common Bond

Clinical Assistant Professor of Drama Therapy Maria Hodermarska and graduate student Lynn Hodeib led a drama therapy group at Project Common Bond (PCB).

PCB is an international symposium for young people who have lost a direct family member to an act of terror, armed conflict, or inter-religious conflict. This year the symposium was held at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Hodermarska has worked at the camp for 8 years as a drama therapy facilitator and the supervisor of creative arts therapies.

Hodeib is a second-year graduate student in NYU Steinhardt's program in Drama Therapy. Hodeib, who is from Beirut, Lebanon, is currently doing a clinical internship at Kings County Hospital Center.

Both spent an amazing week collaborating with young people to imagine and create a better world, one new role (or new story) at a time. Their work was highlighted in a Boston Globe article.
