2016 Astor International Travel Fellow Ignites Student Curiosity in Chinese Culture

Former Astor International Travel Fellow and music teacher Willie Mosley recently traveled with his students from East New York to Brooklyn Borough Hall to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The students performed an authentic Chinese song and dance for dignitaries, journalists, and dancers. Students also made Chinese New Year cards for dignitaries and received Chinese musical instruments, to continue their musical adventures. Mr. Mosley noted that this opportunity gave his students a chance to explore another culture and its music.
