Dr. Lisa Gennetian receives $111,111 subaward from Bezos Foundation

Dr. Lisa Gennetian received a subaward from the NYU School of Medicine (PI: Dr. Laurie Miller Brotman) in the amount of $111,111, provided through funding from the Bezos Family Foundation. The goal of the project, titled "Applying Behavioral Economic Insights to Enhance Outreach and Retention Strategies in a School-Based Parent Support Program for NYC’ Preschoolers," is to use tools from behavioral economics to support engagement of NYC preschool parents with the ParentCorps parenting program. ParentCorps is an intervention developed by Dr. Brotman that works with ethnically diverse parents and families as children make the transition to school, as well as to help schools and teachers to implement policies and practices that engage with parents as partners in early learning, create classrooms that support self-regulation, and address the needs of children with difficulties with self-regulation.
