Department of Basic Education in South Africa Welcomes NYU Steinhardt Global Program Students

As part of the NYU Steinhardt Global program, South Africa: Educational and Social Reform, students visited the Department of Basic Education (DBE) in South Africa, along with Professor Teboho Moja. The DBE maintains, supports, and develops educational practices in South Africa, for grades R through 12. Students met with DBE officials as part of a seminar, where officials spoke of issues facing the South African education system. Students in this global program also participate in a collaboration between the South African National Commission for UNESCO and NYU.
