Occupational Therapy Department Hosts Elective Course in Tel Aviv: Disability in a Global Context

During January 2016, the Occupational Therapy Department hosted the elective course Disability in a Global Context in Tel Aviv. The course was led by Associate Professor Yael Goverover, who shared not only her experience in and knowledge of the occupational therapy field in Israel, but her Israeli culture with 16 students from NYU.

The students and Professor Goverover visited hospitals, academic centers, veteran centers, and living centers to study the intersection of culture, disability, treatment, and rehabilitation within Tel Aviv. In addition, the group traveled, visiting the Dead Sea and the Negev Desert.
