Steinhardt Student, Associate Dean, win Fulbright Awards

Benjamin Kaplan, an undergraduate senior majoring in Applied Psychology and Public Health, has won a Fulbright English Teaching Award. After his graduation this semester, Kaplan will live and teach in Taiwan in 2016-17 while serving as a cultural ambassador for the U.S. This year, 18 NYU students, including eleven undergraduates and seven graduate students, won Fulbright awards, up from 11 last year.

Erich Dietrich, Associate Dean for Global Affairs at NYU Steinhardt and Assistant Vice President for Global Programs at NYU, won a Fulbright-Nehru International Education Award to India, visiting Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore in March. He was selected along with nine other senior international educators from U.S. institutions to gain first-hand knowledge of a cross-section of Indian higher education and meet with high-ranking university administrators and public sector officials who play key roles in the planning and administration of higher education in India.
