Cyrus Beroukhim featured at Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble's "World Traveling Violin"

Dr. Cyrus Beroukhim, Associate Professor of violin in the Strings Studies Program, was the featured guest artist for Oklahoma City's Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble.

Beroukhim and the Ensemble presented two performances of “World Traveling Violin.” The performances took place January 12-13, 2015.

The program featured five compositions, mostly for trios, including Mozart’s Trio in B-Flat Major, K.502 (violin, cello, and piano); Aram Khachaturian’s Trio for Violin, Clarinet, and Piano; Bright Sheng’s Tibetan Dance for Violin, Clarinet, and Piano; Maurice Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in A Minor; and Paul Schoenfield’s Trio for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano.

Beroukhim's appearance in Oklahoma City was previewed in The City Sentinel and Slice.
