Music Tech Alum Wins Audio Engineering Society Award

Music Technology alumnus Samuel Nacach (MA, 2014) has been awarded the Audio Engineering Society 137th Convention Student Technical Paper Award for his paper, "The Duplex Panner: Comparative Testing and Applications of an Enhanced Stereo Panning Technique for Headphone-Reproduced Commercial Music." Nacach will receive his award certificate and recognition by the Society at the opening ceremonies of the convention on October 9 in Los Angeles. He will present his paper in a lecture at the conference. In addition, his manuscript is eligible for publication consideration in the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society.

Audio professionals attending the convention will “hear from top audio industry figures while also sharing in the latest research and technology information through informative papers, tutorials, workshops and special events.” The AES was formed in 1948 and now claims over 14,000 members throughout the world.
