“Inside Success": Adriana Villavicencio Presents on Success Factors for Small Schools of Choice

On October 30th, Research Associate Dr. Adriana Villavicencio presented findings from her recent report, Inside Success: Strategies of 25 Effective Small High Schools in NYC, to the New York University chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International. The presentation provided insights gathered through interviews with over 100 NYC educators about three of the factors that they believe have allowed their schools to succeed: personalized learning environments; high expectations for students and educators; and a team of dedicated and flexible teachers.
