Prof. Farzana Kapadia receives Pilot Project Award

Farzana Kapadia, professor of public health in the department, along with Dustin Duncan, a professor at NYU School of Medicine, have been awarded a Pilot Project Award from the University's School of Nursing Center for Drug Use and HIV Research.  The two plan to work on a study that explores associations of neighborhood-level factors with HIV-related behaviors as well test the feasability of obtaining real-time geospatial information in a diverse population of young men who have sex with men.  Kapadia and Duncan will be mentored on the project by Perri Halkitis, a professor at NYU Steinhardt, as well as Dr. Samuel Friedman of National Development Research Institutes, Inc.
