Michael Bulger '13 coordinates healthy food initiative at Hudson Valley Hospital Center
Michael Bulger, a recent Food Studies alumnus, is now working at Hudson Valley Hospital Center where he coordinates healthy food programs for patients. The Valley Table Magazine recently covered the hospital's "Farm to Patient" initiatives, of which Bulger is an integral part.
Bulger, who created a young chefs program similar to television's MasterChef Junior, which was just recently awarded $20,000 in funding, hopes that this type of healthy eating initiative inspires people across the lifespan to cook more and choose better diets.
"We want to give people confidence and a sense of accomplishment in the kitchen," he said. "Hopefully, if cooking is less scary and more enjoyable, they [will be] able to eat better."
