McIlwain's Book Wins Award from American Political Science Association

Race Appeal: How Candidates Invoke Race in U.S. Political Campaigns, co-written by MCC Associate Professor Charlton Mcllwain, was one of four books to receive a prestigious 2012 Award for Excellence by the American Political Science Association. Race Appeal won the Ralph J. Bunche Award, which recognizes the best scholarly work in political science published in the previous calendar year that explores the phenomenon of ethnic and cultural pluralism.
