ECT/DMDL's Ricki Goldman, Plenary Speaker at The Fifth International Conference on Ubiquitous Learning
Dr. Ricki Goldman, Professor of Educational Communication & Technology at NYU Steinhardt, will be one of the plenary speakers at The Fifth International Conference on Ubiquitous Learning. Ricki is a digital video ethnographer, learning and media theorist, and a pioneering inventor of digital video analysis tools. For over twenty-five years of conducting research in STEM classrooms, Ricki has developed a theory of mind and learning as well a framework for conducting research. The points of viewing theory is the topic of her two of her books – Video Research in the Learning Sciences, with Pea, Barron, and Derry, (Routledge, 2007) and Points of Viewing Children’s Thinking (LEA, 1998). Her research has been generously awarded with grants from SSHRC and NSERC in Canada, and NSF in the US.
