Announcing "Fortune's Hand: Short Stories & Other Works" by Steinhardt Alumna, G. Rice Washburn

From writer and Steinhardt 1981 alumna G. Rice Washburn has come Fortune's Hand, a collection of short stories published by Xlibris.  For years a multi-media artist and award-winning filmmaker, Gladys Rice Washburn began writing fiction while working toward a masters degree in English Education at New York University.  She later taught English at the City University of New York.  She is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Women.

Washburn has been a contributing writer to Hudson River Magazine and a reviewer for Film News Magazine.  The tales she weaves in Fortune's Hand speak of the joys and trials of life and a love of the natural world, and are often touched with whimsy and mystery.
