David Verducci, PhD '86 (Educational Administration) Named One of New Jersey's Superintendents of the Year

David Verducci, a 1986 graduate of the Steinhardt's Department of Administration, Leadership, and Technology, was recently chosen as one of New Jersey's top Superintendents of the Year.  He represents the Northern region of New Jersey schools.

Verducci, a member of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Governing Board Region VI and Past President of the Bergen County Association of School Administrators (BCASA), began his professional career as an educator in 1975. During his career that spans 30 plus years, he has served as superintendent of three districts in Bergen County. He is the 2010 recipient of the Bergen County Association of School Administrators (BCASA) Distinguished Service Award.

Each regional winner was judged on the following qualifications: 1) minimum of five years experience as a chief education officer; 2) record of service within their respective county affiliate and NJASA; and 3) distinguished record as an educator.
