NYU Hosted the Network for Research in Jewish Education's Annual Conference; NYU Graduate Student Honored

NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development and the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies had the honor of hosting the Network for Research in Jewish Education's 24th Annual Conference on June 6-8, 2010.

More than one hundred scholars in the field of Jewish education converged upon NYU's Washington Square campus to participate in and lead panel sessions, spotlight sessions, and consultations on a wide range of topics. Professor Benjamin Jacobs, who will become the Associate Director of NYU's Education and Jewish Studies programs in Fall 2010, served as the Program Chair of this conference. Additionally, NYU Education and Jewish Studies doctoral student Orley Denman was presented with the Emerging Scholars Award.
