In Opposition to Facebook's Privacy Policies, Salzberg Co-Develops Diaspora

NYU Steinhardt Media, Culture, and Communication undergraduate Max Salzberg is featured in The New York Times article Four Nerds and a Cry to Arms Against Facebook. The article raises his and three other students' concerns about privacy on the popular social networking site.

Through thousands of dollars in contributions from individuals supporting their plan to develop a new social network that protects users' privacy, the students recently launched the open-source site Diaspora. Their network has gained more than 2,000 members in the past few weeks.
