The Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG) is pleased to announce that the NYU James L. Dolan Recording/Teaching Complex has been selected as a nominee for the 26th Annual TEC Awards Outstanding Creative Achievement.
Created to provide students with an exemplary learning environment, the hub of NYU’s new $6.8 million, 7500 sq. ft. advanced audio teaching facility is its’ 25-seat 465 square foot control/class room. The studio features a fully automated 48 channel SSL Duality Console; Lipinski L707 and L150 sub speakers and the first Dangerous Music 10.2 surround installation in NYC. The adjourning 632 sq. ft. live room can accommodate a small orchestra , and includes a 192 sq. ft. iso drum/piano booth. The complex was created to provide students with an exemplary learning environment, and is devoted to contemporary Music Technology: Theory, Cognition, Informatics, Computer Music, Recording, Production, and Immersive Audio.
The 26th Annual TEC Awards will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA. Voting will take place in November. For further information, please visit the TEC Foundation website.
