On Sunday, April 6, 2008, Mariyn Moffat, Professor of Physical Therapy at New York University, president of the World Confederacy for Physical Therapy, and co-author of Age-Defying Fitness, will conduct a seminar entitled "Activity: The Antidote to Aging" at the 92nd Street Y in New York, NY.
The lecture, which will focus on aging and activity in the baby boomer generation, will run from 12:30-1:30pm concurrently with the 92nd Street Y's "Healthy, Wealthy and Wise" all-day symposium.
The seminar is described as follows: "Baby boomers think they are more active than previous generations, but many of them do not realize how much time they spend sitting in front of computers and television sets and the effects their lifestyles has on their fitness. Learn how the body changes over time, participate in a series of self-assessments to determine your individual abilities and develop a focused action plan to incorporate effective activities into your daily life."
